Case management system for traffic accidents

The Traffic accident register at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, is a case management system used to register, create reports and analyze traffic accidents on Norwegian roads. It contains data on road traffic accidents back to 1977. Only road traffic accidents (with personal injury), reported by the police, are registered. Information from the database is written to other systems and is published internally and externally.

Information is only disclosed in deidentified or aggregated form. Exceptions can be made if the Ministry of Transport has approved disclosure for research cf. the Public Administration Act, § 13d
